Good turnout at Raloo for combined divine service

There was a good turnout for the annual combined divine service held recently, organised by Cedar of Lebanon RBP 86, Raloo True Blues LOL 55 and Fourtowns LOL 69.

Led by District Marshalls (Larne LOL No 1) Brs Jim Weatherup and David Young, and Carnalbana Flute Band, the Sir Knights and brethren made their way from Raloo Protestant Hall at Mounthill along the Browndod Road, and then up the Raloo Road to Raloo Presbyterian Church at Crosshill, where they were welcomed by Rev Neil Bingham, the minister of Raloo.

District officers present at the service included, from Larne RBP No 4, Wor District Master T Morrow; Deputy District Master W Hanna, District Registrar David Swann - from Larne LOL No 1, District Chaplain Ian Wilson; Dist Treasurer Captain Br Bryans Woods, and District Standard Bearers, Mark McNeill, Jimmy Davy and Edward Steel.

The offering at the service - in aid of the Lord Enniskillen Memorial Orphans Society - was collected by Br William Jamison, WM LOL 69 and Br Ross Weatherup WM LOL 55.

The organist for this special annual service was Raloo’s very own Mrs Nance Wallace.

David Swann expressed his thanks to the Kirk Session at Raloo Presbyterian Church for the use of the church premises for the event.

He also thanked Rev Neil Bingham for conducting the service, accompanist Nance Wallace, members of Carnalbana Flute Band, the marshalls and all the visiting Sir Knights and brethren for their support at the annual occasion.
