New firm seeksvillage licence

A NEWLY incorporated private limited company called Steelstown Limited will apply to Londonderry Magistrates’ Court next month to take over the licence for Café del Mondo in the Craft Village.

The company was set up in March 2012 and has a registered address of 40 Ard Grange, Londonderry.

The licence for Café del Mondo is presently held by Eddie Kerr of the One World Centre, Foyle Street, who is a former director of Londonderry support group for migrants, SEEDS.

But Steelstown Limited intend to ask the local Magistrates’ Court for the restaurant licence to be transfered to it on September 20.

The existing licence is due to expire on September 30 and a protection order has been granted authorising the company to carry on business under the licence. The premises is owned by the Inner City Trust of The Annex, 18 Magazine Street.
