Drumcree WI celebrates 55 'memorable' years
Drumcree Women’s Institute members have marked their 55th anniversary with a special celebration event.
It proved an opportunity to roll back the years with memories of years gone by as well as mark the branch’s landmark year.

Three founder members, Marylyn Eldon, Roberta Hall and Edna Sharpe were present at the anniversary event and performed the cutting of a beautiful celebration cake.
Everyone gathered for the event enjoyed viewing photos of past events and entertainment before a delightful supper.

1971 was the first of 55 memorable years for Drumcree WI with many informative speakers, lovely meals and interesting outings and above all great camaraderie resulting in many friendships being made during monthly meetings and weekly coffee get-togethers
New members are always welcome and a warm invitation is extended to anyone interested to go along to the WI meetings in the Faith Mission Hall on Mahon Road on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm.
