Twelfth 2026: Annual celebrations once again broadcast across the UK as GB News trio reunite
Broadcasting the Twelfth of July celebrations to a national audience is an important part of recognising our culture and history, Baroness Arlene Foster has said.
The former first minister was once again fronting coverage of the Orange Order parades for GB News, alongside former Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson, and the news channel’s Northern Ireland correspondent Dougie Beattie.

This year’s live coverage came from Royal Hillsborough in County Down.
Baroness Foster said during the coverage: “It's a huge family day for my family, for families right across Northern Ireland. It's a public expression, really, of our identity, our culture, and of course our heritage as well.

“And it's wonderful to see so many young people getting involved in the lodges and in the bands. I've noticed an uptick actually in the number of young people involved, and it's very good that they're learning about their history”.
Actor and co-presenter Charlie Lawson posted a picture of the GB News trio in Royal Hillsborough in advance of their live broadcast (pictured).
The former Jim McDonald actor captioned it “The 3 Musketeers in Royal Hillsborough!”
GB News said its coverage would “explore the pageantry, music and community spirit that define the day, alongside the history behind the celebrations marking the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne. Viewers can expect live reports from the field, interviews with participants and organisers, and analysis of what the day means for communities across NI”.
