Rape unit seeks witnesses of assault on teenage girl

Detectives from the PSNI’s Rape Crime Unit who are investigating the assault on the 18-year-old are working to establish the details of this incident and are asking anyone who may have been in the Rosemount area and who may have seen the female or who saw anything suspicious to contact them immediately.

They are also keen to speak to the taxi driver who picked up a male and female fare in the Shipquay Street area sometime after 1.30am and took them to the Rosemount area.

They are keen to hear from him as he may have information which may assist Officers with their investigation.
