Royal School Dungannon actor James Stockdale making waves with new film
James, who has graced the local stage under the auspices of the Bardic Theatre, is one of 18 young people from Northern Ireland involved in the making of ‘Delicate Things’ with support from Cinemagic, Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund and Panavision.

Hide AdJames stars alongside and well known actors Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games, Ray Donovan) and Ciaran McMenamin (Primeval, Shooting for Socrates).
The Dungannon student made his screen debut in A Christmas Star, which featured the voice of Liam Neeson, and has carved a reputation as one of Northern Ireland’s fastest rising acting professionals.
The young people who make up the production crew on ‘Delicate Things’ have participated in a programme of intense and practical training through Cinemagic masterclasses and workshops led by professionals mentors including BAFTA winning and Oscar-nominated Northern Ireland filmmaker, Michael Lennox; Casting with Hubbard Casting, Acting with Bronagh Waugh and Film Production with Jessica Malik and Gareth Ellis-Unwin.

Hide AdDelicate Things, written by Maire Campbell (A Christmas Star, Punch) tells the story of the Wilson family who have their happy world blown apart one fateful morning.
To date, the film has been showcased in LA and picked up an honour at Newport Beach Film festival for Outstanding Achievement in Film Making.
The production also featured at the Odyssey in Belfast.
