Carla Lockhart of the DUP topped the poll while her party colleague Sydney Anderson was elected on the second count.

Sophie Long of the PUP, Martin Kelly of CISTA, Stephen McCarroll of NSP, Simon Lee of Comhaontas and Emma Hutchinson of NI Labour Representation Committee have all been eliminated.

Speculation abounds about the future of the SDLP’s Dolores Kelly and Sinn Fein’s John O’Dowd.

Next facing elimination is the UKIP’s David Jones and his transfer votes are unlikely to go to either nationalist.
