Ballymena roadworks in the coming weeks
Road users may wish to plan their journeys in advance with roadworks programmes taking place in the Ballymena area this week.
Closures will operate daily unless otherwise stated.
North Road, Ballymena
There will be a continuous road closure from the Cullybackey Road roundabout to George Street from Saturday, September 12 until Monday, September 14.
The closure is required for resurfacing for DFI Roads.
A diversion will operate with an alternative route via U2204 Ballymoney Road and U2201 George Street.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
North Road, Ballymena
There will be a continuous road closure from 20m before the Galgorm Road junction to the Cullybackey Road roundabout from Saturday, September 12 until Monday, September 14.
The closure is required for resurfacing for DFI Roads.
A diversion will operate with an alternative route via A0026 North Road, A0042 Galgorm Road, U2031 Old Galgorm Road, U2030 Old Park Road, U2029 Woodtown Road, and B0062 Cullybackey Road.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
George Street, Ballymena
There will be a continuous lane closure from 20m before the slip from North Road to 20m after the slip from North Road from Saturday, September 5 until Monday, September 7
The closure is required for resurfacing for DFI Roads.
Traffic controls will operate, with delays of up to 5 minutes expected.
North Road, Ballymena
There will be a continuous road closure from the Larne Road Link to Galgorm Road from Saturday, September 5 until Monday, September 7.
The closure is required for resurfacing for DFI Roads.
A diversion will operate with an alternative route via A0523 Bridge Street, A0523 Waveney Road, and A0042 Galgorm Road.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
Glenravel Road, Ballymena
There will be a lane closure from The Old Mart to Islandtown Road on Thursday, September 10.
The closure is required for a new connection for customer.
Traffic controls will operate, with delays of up to 5 minutes expected.
Ballee Road East, Ballymena
There will be an overnight lane closure from the Larne Road roundabout to the Ballee roundabout from Tuesday, September 8 until Wednesday, September 9.
The closure is required for DFI Roads carriageway patching.
Traffic controls will operate, with delays of between 5-15 minutes expected.
Lisnevenagh Road, Ballymena
There will be a lane closure from the Ballee roundabout to the junction of Woodgreen Road from Tuesday, September 8 until Wednesday, September 9.
The closure is required for DFI Roads carriageway patching.
Traffic controls will operate, with delays of between 5-15 minutes expected.
Grove Road, Ballymena
There will be a road closure from Ballyloughan Brow to the Cushendall Road roundabout until Friday, October 9.
The closure is required for resurfacing.
A diversion will operate with an alternative route via A0026 Ballymoney Road, A0042 Parkway, A0042 Broughshane Road, and A0043 Cushendall Road.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
M2, Ballymena
There will be an overnight only lane closure from the Teeshan roundabout to Lisnasoo Road until Monday, September 7.
The closure is required for a DFI Roads maintenance scheme – gully cleaning, road sweeping, verge clearance, grass cutting, sign cleaning etc.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
Glenravel Road, Ballymena
There will be a continuous lane closure from Dunaghy Wood to 300m past Dunaghy Wood until Friday, October 2 at 6:00pm.
The closure is required for construction of road widening works for the new Lady Queen of Peace School. Alternating lane works to be undertaken by manned traffic control.
Traffic controls will operate, with delays of between 5-15 minutes expected.
