City of Derry Airport director Damien Tierney has welcomed a Consumer Council report that shows the facility offers the most competitive pre-book parking on the island.

To pre-book a week-long stay at the airport costs £18, cheaper than Dublin (£24.05), Aldergrove (£25.99) and George Best (£45). To pre-book for a fortnight is also cheaper: City of Derry (£32); Dublin (£41.38); Aldergrove (£51.99); and George Best (£52).

Mr Tierney said: “City of Derry Airport welcomes this report by the Consumer Council. The Airport works continuously to ensure we offer competitive products to meet our customer needs.

“Our pre-booked parking products are the best option for most travellers and since many people now use the internet to book flights and holidays we have made it very simple to book our parking on-line.

“Of course, we know that some people are still not comfortable using the internet so we have retained a telephone option for pre-booking as well. We are delighted that this report confirms that City of Derry Airport continues to offer the best value for money on-site airport parking in the country.”
