Ballymoney swimmers make a splash in Ulster

Ballymoney swimmers have continued to Traill-blaze their way to success at the Swim Ulster Summer Festival.

The local Amateur Swimming Club had four swimmers travel to the final gala in the Swim Ulster calendar in Newry on Sunday past.

Members Tea McWilliam (10) came away with three Gold medals in the 200 Free, 100 Back and 200 IM and one Bronze in the 100 Free events.

Eilís Mullan (11) won three Gold medals in 200 Free, 100 Back, 200 Breast and one Silver in the 200 IM. Karen McLaughlin (13) achieved Gold in the 200 Breast and two Silver medals in both 100 Back & 100 Free. Her younger brother Craig (12) set further PB’s in both the 100 Back and 100 Free events.

Head Coach June Traill and the club would like to wish their squad members the best of luck in the upcoming Irish Age Group and Summer Open (Division 1) Championships in the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin in July.
