Charity pool competition a success

THREE hundred pounds was raised at a charity pool competition held in aid of VHL (Von Hipple-Lindau Disease) at the St Comgall’s Club on Saturday.

The event was won by Ellis Martin, with Dean McDonagh the runner-up.

Alison Barry thanked the St Comgall’s Club for the use of the premises and to all those who made the event a resounding success, including main organisers Alphonsus McIlwaine and Robert Hawkins. She also expressed her gratitude to JS Workwear and the club for donating the prize money for the winner and runner-up and to all the businesses who donated to the raffle. Entertainment was providied by Kenny Brownlow and Murray McDowell.
