West Indies scored 116-8 off their 20 overs, Chris Gayle top-scoring with 18, and Alex Cusack, Kevin O’Brien and Tim Murtagh taking two wickets apiece.

But it was Joyce and Andrew Poynter who scored 32, which help Phil Simmons’ side to secure a memorable win with five balls to spare.

After the game skipper William Porterfield was thrilled with the win but admitted he felt there are more to come from his side.
