Civil Service batted first on a blazing hot day and compiled a far from convincing 213 all out in 47 overs. The Lisburn bowling was good throughout the innings with Richard Booth being the pick with 3 for 47. He was well supported by Callum Atkinson who took 2 for 39 and Carl Williams with 2 for 16 in 10 tight overs. Ryan Moore chipped in with 1 for 21, Adam Berry, 1 for 30 and Aaron McKeown 1 for 27 as they faced the achievable 214 for victory.

Lisburn did not start well losing wickets early in their innings and it took a determined 56 from Stephen Allen to get them into a winning position. Mark Berry with 35 and his brother Adam with 15 plus a fighting contribution of 37 from Carl Williams took the Seconds so close but in the end they ran out of overs and were just 5 runs short with 208 for 8 in their 50 overs.

The Thirds recorded back to back wins, both in the Park on Saturday and Sunday. They were comfortable winners over Ards Seconds on Saturday. Lisburn finished the Ards innings in 20 overs winning by the wide margin of 80 runs.

On Sunday they completed a great double when they thrashed Dundrum Seconds by the massive margin of 198 runs.

Matthew Lightbody led the way with 52 while Peter Ferguson scored a very good 30 and Ryan Moore 42 in the early part of the innings against some mediocre Dundrum bowling. The innings finished with Ross Lightbody remaining 48 not out and Aaron McKeown 20 not out as the 3rds totalled a very impressive 224 for 4 in their 35 overs.

The Dundrum innings lasted only 11 overs as Wallace schoolboy Callum Irvine totally destroyed their chances. The left arm bowler, producing some pace returned the incredible figures of 7 wickets for just 8 runs as the visitors were all out for 26 leaving Lisburn emphatic winners.

Lisburn 4ths travelled to Cregagh on Sunday to play a rearranged game which had to be over 20 overs per side which seemed a waste of a sunny afternoon.

The 4ths couldn’t contain the Cregagh batsmen who knocked off the 113 required, for the loss of only two wickets, with both taken by Garry McCandless with 2 for 12.
