Rankin makes Ashes Test squad

The pace bowler performed really well for England’s one day side this summer and took a host of wickets against the Aussies.

England National Selector Geoff Miller admitted that Rankin’s inclusion wasn’t just for his performances this summer with England.

“Boyd has been selected not just for his one day form, because he has played well with Warwickshire this season.

“He showed what he could do at international level and the conditions in Australia should make life difficult for them when he’s bowling.”
