Cup dates set for outdoor bowlers

The outdoor League season starts on Saturday, April 23 and local teams are already preparing and there is always a big interest in who they draw in the various Cup competitions.

Hilden

Hilden are again in Division 2 of the Private Greens League and the B team remains in Division 5.

In the IBA Intermediate Cup, second round the A team entertain Skerries on June 20 and the B team play Donaghadee B away in the Junior Cup.

The first round proper of the Private Greens Cup will be played on June 9 and Hilden play the winners of the Cliftonville v Knock tie.

The B team are away to Willowfield B in the first round of the Junior Cup on May 26.

Malone

Malone remain in Division 4 of the Private Greens League and have a first round tie in the IBA Intermediate Cup, travelling the short distance to Musgrave.

In the Private Greens Junior Cup, Malone entertain Mossley B or Dunbarton B on May 26.

Dromore

Dromore were promoted to NIBA Division 1 and the B team remain in Division 5.

The A team have a home IBA Senior Cup tie against Limavady and the B team are also at home in the Junior Cup to neighbours, Banbridge B.

In the NIBA Senior Cup Dromore travel to Portadown in a second round tie and the B team also go to Portadown B in the Junior Cup, both on May 25.

Lisnagarvey

Lisnagarvey remain in Division 1 of the NIBA League but the B team were relegated from Division 3 to Division 4.

Lisnagarvey travel to Bangor to play Castle in the first round of the IBA Senior Cup on May 14 and the B team have a home tie with Cookstown B in the Junior Cup.

In the NIBA Cups, Garvey are away to Lurgan or Bessbrook in the second round and the B team host Donaghadee B in the Junior Cup.

Lagan Valley

Lagan Valley yet again play in NIBA Division 5.

They have a first round IBA Junior Cup tie at home to Limavady B on May 14.

In NIBA circles, Lagan Valley are home to Antrim or Ulster Maple Leaf in the second round of the Intermediate Cup.

Finaghy

Finaghy remain in NIBA Division 4 this season.

They do not play in the IBA Cups but are home to Gilnahirk or Queen’s Island in the second round of the Intermediate Cup.
