Dunloy's tough Valentine's Day date

The Cuchullains feature in the all-Ireland semi-final against Portumna this weekend.

The Ulster champions are huge under-dogs against the the All-Ireland and Galway champions, regarded by many as the greatest side the sport has seen.

And in their team is one of the most formidable talents in Ireland - 20-year-old Joe Canning, the Wayne Rooney of hurling.

Portumna have won the all-Ireland twice and a third win on the trot would make them the first team to achieve the feat.

Dunloy can take heart though from the fact they are the only team from outside Galway to beat Portumna, dispatching them in an all-Ireland semi in 2004.

Sunday’s match at Parnell Park gets under way from 2.30pm.
