Institute’s Garbhan Friel fired home their winning spot-kick to see off junior side Newtowne in the Irish Cup.

After taking the lead through Stephen O’Donnell, the Limavady side levelled things thanks to Ruairi Hassan’s goal in the seocnd half, which took the tie to penalties.

The unfortunate Daryl Mullan was to miss from 12 yards before Friel fired home to give Stute a 5-4 shoot-out win and set-up a fifth round tie at either Dergview or Sport & Leisure Swifts next month.
