“I have been out of football for two years due to a hip problem, but I had an operation last year, and thankfully it was a success.”

Lauren has just signed for Glentoran Ladies, and the new season can’t come quick enough for the Coleraine girl.

“We’re already back in pre-season training.

“The season begins now next month, and I’m just delighted to get the boots back on again.”

UUJ Coach, Naomi McMullan was full of praise for our Lauren, she told Times Sport: “ Lauren came in as a fresher this year and was one of our most valuable players. Her work rate for our team was immense, playing left midfield she had countless assists and numerous goals.

“She definitely was a massive part of us achieving our success this year, a very hard working playing with an unbelievable left foot.”
