Cherry’s left-footed strike from outside the box left Reds’ goalkeeper Conor Devlin rooted to the spot.

“I was buzzing when I scored,” Cherry said. “It sat perfect for me, so I was confident enough on my left that I would hit the target. It was just a shame it didn’t lead to three points as that would of been massive for us.

“But, a point away to Cliftonville is a good point, and we would have taken that before the game.”

It was only the midfielder’s second goal of the season but it’s one that he and the Amber Army won’t forget in hurry!

Take a bow, Kyle!
