Tipperary were the first team out of this morning’s draw and will have home advantage against the Red Hands in what will be an eagerly awaited Round 3 qualifier tie.

The Premier county enjoyed a high scoring win over Louth at the weekend but Tyrone will provide a very different challenge to the ‘Wee County’.

Mickey Harte’s side, for their part, squeezed past the challenge of Meath at Healy Park and will now take on Tipperary for the first time in the championship.

The two counties were involved in this year’s All Ireland Under 21 final, a game which saw Tyrone come out on top by the narrowest of margins.
