Lisburn Golf Club host successful annual dinner

Members and guests enjoyed the Annual Dinner and Presentation of Trophies at Lisburn Golf Club last Friday.

Following an excellent meal the Captain, Peter Cairns, presented the trophies.

The toast to the Golfing Union of Ireland was proposed by Lisburn Vice Captain John Boyd. Ulster Branch Treasurer John White replied.

The toast to the guests was proposed by Dr Sam Moore. Guest speaker Big ‘O’ entertained the audience to end a very enjoyable evening.

Last Saturday’s Stableford was played over the back nine holes.

Stephen Wilkinson finished with a par three to win with 22 points.

A birdie two at the final hole moved Stephen Shaw into second place. Noel Robinson and Declan Marsden tied on 20 points with Noel’s better finish giving him third place.
