NE GOLFING ALLIANCE CAPTAIN’S DAY

The weather was not kind to the competitors in the NE Golfing Alliance Captain’s Day at Castlerock Golf club recently.

Captain Jim O’Rorke saw 85 of them play in very cold, wet and windy conditions and David Tennant came out on top with 40 points registered. The Royal port rush man finished with two points to spare over Portstewart’s Sean McGahon and Keith Browne, both on 38 points. David Allen scored 37 to claim fourth place by himself while Brian McGomigle, Martin Hughes and Danny Alexander all carded 36s.

The final four placings went to Gilbert Fallows, John Ferris, John Bunting and Tommy Allen for their scores of 35 points.
