Paul Grimley’s side will travel to Navan to face Meath on Sunday more in hope than in expectation and the Ulster men will be favourite for relegation along with Galway if both points are dropped.

Although McKeeever will be badly missed, the news is better regarding Crossmaglen duo Aaron Kernan and James Morgan who are currently training with the squad,

With the top two sides in Division 2 Monaghan and Donegal facing each other on Sunday, Saturdays games could have a huge bearing on promotion and relegation issues.

Down look good enough to beat Louth in Newry which would give James McCartan’s side a comfortable mid table spot. Bottom side Galway travel to Laois and will do well to get a result against the Leinster men.
