Prior Seconds work hard for draw against Grosvenor

Priorians Seconds battled hard to secure a 0-0 draw with title chasing Grosvenor, on Saturday.

Grosvenor are second in the senior 2 league, so this was going to be tough game back, after the Christmas break.

Priorians started well and had a few very good chances early in the first half.

In the second half the momentum changed and Grosvenor put the pressure on, they too missed a few close chances of their own.

It was a great fast paced game of hockey with neither teams able to score, and a brilliant last minute save by the Priorian goalie left the score 0-0 at full-time.

Player of the match was goal keeper Lizzie Ballentine.

This weekend Priorians 1st XI will compete in the third round of the McConnell Shield.
