South Antrim hold successful open day at Laurelhill

SOUTH Antrim Ladies Hockey Club held a successful open day last Saturday at Laurelhill Sportszone.

With training already underway on Thursday nights from 7-8pm at Laurelhill Sportszone, anybody interested in joining feel free to attend and see what you think.

-With the club celebrating its centenary on September 3 2012 the following events have been planned to commemorate this momentous milestone in our Club's history.

On the evening of Monday September 3, on the club’s 100th birthday, the Men’s First XI will take on a representative team selected by the President of the Ulster Hockey Union.

The match will be played at Laurelhill Sportszone and will be followed by an informal reception and supper.

Later that week, South will host a Family Fun Day in conjunction with South Ladies celebrating their 1st Anniversary at Laurelhill from 11am–3pm.

It is hoped there will be something for everyone at this event with 5 a side Hockey planned for all ages and abilities with past members and veterans being invited to join in. Entertainment will be laid on for the kids and a barbeque is also planned."
