Top honours for South Eastern Trust at prestigious Advancing Healthcare Awards
The South Eastern Trust has celebrated outstanding success at the Northern Ireland Advancing Healthcare Awards, with staff recognised across multiple categories for their excellence in research, service improvement, leadership and professional achievement.
The awards celebrate the contribution of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), Healthcare Scientists and the teams who support them, recognising innovative practice and work that improves services and outcomes for patients across Northern Ireland.
The Service Improvement Award was presented to Eilis McGarvey, Musculoskeletal Lead Physiotherapist, Nikki Scott and Reuben McIlrath, Clinical Team Leads and Temporary Project Leads and Allie Cameron, Principal Physiotherapist, MSK Services.
The team was honoured for its ground breaking ‘One Stop Shop” Community Appointment Days, which brings care closer to people in their own neighbourhood and importantly all under one roof.

The innovation demonstrates the value of partnership, with Health and Social Care professionals, community organisations and voluntary sector partners, all working together to deliver more accessible, person-centred care.

Respiratory Healthcare Scientist, Coral Trainor, received the Rising Star Award, recognising her contribution and potential within her profession. Head of Nutrition and Dietetics, Elizabeth McKnight, was presented with the prestigious Patricia Blackburn Award for significant contribution and achievement.
