Headliners back on for Stendhal gig in Limavady

It has been a topsy-turvy couple of weeks for the organisers of Stendhal Festival of Art, Limavady but after announcing that Frightened Rabbit would not be appearing in their advertised headline slot at the event this year, we can confirm that thanks to some rescheduling that Frightened Rabbit are back on the bill and will Headline the event on Saturday August 9.

The band were originally scheduled to appear on Friday August 8, but a booking oversight by the agency representing them meant that they had been double booked on that date. It had been communicated to us that they would not be able to make the event on either day, therefore we had to announce that they would not be appearing.

In a wonderful turn of events, the band have rearranged their travel schedule and have confirmed that they will be appearing at this year’s Stendhal Festival of Art after all.

A statment from organisers said: “Everyone at Stendhal is delighted that Frightened Rabbit have been so pro-active in changing their tour schedule to accommodate us and all their fans, who will also no doubt be as ecstatic about this as we are.

“We would like to apologise for any confusion this matter has brought with it as we once again look forward to seeing Frightened Rabbit take to the stage at Ballymully Cottage Farm this summer.

“We would also like to thank the Undertones for being absolute gentlemen in switching their headline slot from Saturday to
Friday in order to accommodate us and Frightened Rabbit.”

Event organiser Ross Parkhill said: “The news that Frightened Rabbit have changed their tour schedule to ensure that they will appear at the Festival this year has been a great boost for us and everyone who was so looking forward to seeing them in Limavady.
