Moy Park farmer welcomes local YFCU members
The YFCU members paid a visit to Graham’s farm to gain an insight into the poultry industry and the use of cutting edge sustainable initiatives including advanced biosecurity controls, a biomass hot water heating system, solar panels and Graham’s innovative use of local wood chips to fuel his biomass boilers.
David Mark, Moy Park General Manager Agricultural Projects, joined the group to discuss Moy Park’s farmer expansion programme ‘Plan to Grow’ and the opportunities for young farmers to join Moy Park’s farming base.

Hide AdDavid said, “Moy Park has always been proactive in supporting the YFCU and this visit was a fantastic opportunity to engage with members. By showcasing Graham’s farm as a best practice example, the tour provided an insight into daily life on a working poultry farm and showcased the use of state-of-the-art technologies in sustainable poultry farming.
The YFCU members were from a range of clubs across Northern Ireland including Curragh, Coleraine, Moycraig, Donaghadee, Glarryford and Moneymore.
