Ballymena man 'obsessed' with trying to get back with partner bombarded her with up to 150 messages and calls every day for a year
A man "obsessed" with trying to get back with his former partner bombarded her with up to 150 messages, calls and videos every day for a year, a court was told.
The 43-year-old admitted a charge of harassment over a period of a year from June 2025.
Christopher Gilmore, with an address listed as Dunfane Park in Ballymena, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates' Court via video link from prison where he was on remand since June this year.
The court was told many of the messages talked about "how much he missed" his ex-partner but in others he mentioned self-harm "if she didn't get back with him".

The court heard an attempt was made to block the number but Gilmore then used other people's phones.
The woman was left "feeling anxious every day".
A defence barrister said Gilmore's behaviour had been the "actions of a desperate individual" who had gone about a bid for reconciliation "entirely the wrong way" but now "he appreocaites that the relationship is over".
District Judge Nigel Broderick said the defendant had spent some time in custody for the "prolonged" period of harassment.
He has now handed down a four months prison term, suspended for a year, which he hoped would act as an incentive "not to re-visit this behaviour upon the victim". A Restraining Order was also put in place.
