George Clooney’s wife to represent hooded men
International human rights lawyer Amal Clooney has joined the legal team representing the group known as the ‘hooded men’.
Lurgan man Gerry McKerr was one 14 men who claim they were tortured when they were held without trial in 1971.
Actor George Clooney’s wife Amal is part of a team representing 10 of those men taking the UK to the European Court of Human Rights.
Their claim is being backed by the Irish government.
