McCann helps launch public consultation on Childcare Strategy
JUNIOR ministers Jennifer McCann and Jonathan Bell launched a public consultation on the executive’s Childcare Strategy last week.
The Childcare Strategy is a key element of the executive’s Delivering Social Change which aims to reduce poverty and bring about positive change in health and well-being among young children.
The junior ministers called on all those interested parties to fully participate in the public consultation which will continue until March 2013. They pointed out that several organisations and departments have been involved in preparing the executive’s strategy
Jennifer McCann said “The early years of a child’s life are crucial to a child’s development and future life chances. We are keen to listen to parents and childcare providers.”
