9. Trevor Ringland

10. Gareth McAuley MBE
Larne native Gareth McAuley holds a special place in Northern Irish football history as the first player to score a goal at a Euros finals when he found the net against Ukraine in 2016. Starting his career in the Irish League in 1999 with Linfield, before spells at Ballyclare Comrades, Crusaders and Coleraine, McAuley made the move to Lincoln City in 2004. During a 14-year career in England, Gareth had spells with Leicester, Ipswich Town and West Brom. He then moved to Glasgow Rangers for the 2018/19 season before hanging up his boots. He earned his first cap for Northern Ireland in 2005, going on to score nine times before retiring from international football in 2018. Julie Nelson BEM is a footballer from Larne who plays for Northern Ireland and Crusaders Strikers She became the first player to score a goal for the Northern Ireland Women's team at a major tournament when she found the net against Norway at the Euros in 2022.
