Tandragee 100 parking fundraiser raises £750 for Kidney Care UK

A farming family’s generosity and the support of thousands of road racing fans have helped raise £750 for Kidney Care UK during this year’s Tandragee 100 road races.

Each year Neil Dillon kindly makes one of his fields at Cooleyhill crossroads available as one of the official car parks with part of the proceeds donated to charity. This year’s beneficiary was Kidney Care UK with motorists donating £750 over the race weekend.

A cheque has been presented with Neil and his family along with ‘Mr Tandragee 100’ Ian Forsythe and his daughter and Tandragee 100 event director Anne, joined by Jo-Anne Dobson, Kidney Care UK Northern Ireland Ambassador.

The funds will help the charity continue providing practical, emotional and financial support to people living with kidney disease across Northern Ireland. Kidney Care UK also campaigns for better services and funds patient support programmes – its mission is to ensure that no one faces kidney disease alone.

Jo-Anne Dobson said: “We are incredibly grateful to Neil and his family for their continued generosity and community spirit. Their willingness to once again make their land available has helped raise valuable funds that will directly benefit people living with kidney disease.

"I’d also like to thank Anne and Ian Forsythe, everyone involved in organising the Tandragee 100 and every single person who made a donation to support our vital work. It’s wonderful to see a local event bringing people together to support our local kidney community.

"Your generous support helps Kidney Care UK provide practical support, financial assistance, information and emotional support to people living with kidney disease and their families. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s kindness and generosity.”
