Ballymena roadworks in the coming week
Road users may wish to plan their journeys in advance with roadworks programmes taking place in the Ballymena area this week.
Closures will operate daily unless otherwise stated.
Carniny Road, Ballymena
There will be a lane closure at 41 Carniny Road from Tuesday, September 15 at 9:30am until Friday, September 18 at 4:30pm.
The closure is required by Firmus Energy for the installation of new gas service.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
Ballywatermoy Road, Ballymena
There will be a lane closure from Dunminning Road to Kildowney Hill from 9:30am until 4:30pm on Monday, September 14.
The closure is required by NI Water.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
Larne Road, Ballymena
There will be a road closure from Larne Road Link to Cullybackey Road roundabout from 12:00am on Sunday, September 20 to 11:59pm on Monday, September 21.
The closure is required for resurfacing by DFI Roads.
A diversion will be in place with an alternative route via (Diversion 1) A0523 Bridge Street, A0523 Waveney Road, A0042 Galgorm Road, U2031 Old Galgorm Road, U2030 Old Park Road, U2029 Woodtown Road, B0062 Cullybackey Road or (Diversion 2) U2204 Ballymoney Road, U2201 George Street, A0026 George Street, A0026 Linenhall Street, A0026 Larne Road.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
North Road, Ballymena
There will be a road closure from the slip to Linenhall Street to 20m beyond the Cullybackey Road roundabout from 12:00am on Monday, September 14 to 11:59pm on Tuesday, September 15.
The closure is required for resurfacing by DFI Roads.
A diversion will be in place with an alternative route via A0523 Bridge Street, A0523 Waveney Road, A0042 Galgorm Road, U2031 Old Galgorm Road, U2030 Old Park Road, U2029 Woodtown Road, B0062 Cullybackey Road, A0026 Ballymoney Road, A0026 Grove Roundabout.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
North Road, Ballymena
There will be a road closure from the Cullybackey Road roundabout to George Street from 12:00am on Saturday, September 12 until 11:59om on Monday, September 14.
The closure is required for resurfacing by DFI Roads.
A diversion will be in place with an alternative route via U2204 Ballymoney Road and U2201 George Street.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
North Road, Ballymena
There will be a road closure from 20m before the Galgorm Road junction to the Cullybackey Road roundabout from 12:00am on Saturday, September 12 until 11:59pm on Monday, September 14.
The closure is required for resurfacing by DFI Roads.
A diversion will be in place with an alternative route via A0026 North Road, A0042 Galgorm Road, U2031 Old Galgorm Road, U2030 Old Park Road, U2029 Woodtown Road, B0062 Cullybackey Road.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
Grove Road, Ballymena
There will be a road closure from Ballyloughan Brow to Cushendall Road roundabout until 4:30pm on Friday, October 9.
The closure is required for resurfacing by DFI Roads.
A diversion will be in place with an alternative route via Diversion 1: A0026 Ballymoney Road, A0042 Parkway, A0042 Broughshane Road, A0043 Cushendall Road.
Delays of between 5-15 minutes are expected.
Richmond Park, Ballymena
There will be a lane closure from the Doury Road footpath to Richmond Park until 4:30pm on Friday, September 18.
The closure is to assist with the installation of new NIE underground mains cables.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
Glenravel Road, Ballymena
There will be a continuous lane closure from Dunaghy Wood to 300m past Dunaghy Wood until Friday, October 2 at 6:00pm.
The closure is required for construction of road widening works for the new Lady Queen of Peace School. Alternating lane works to be undertaken by manned traffic control.
Traffic controls will operate, with delays of between 5-15 minutes expected.
Larne Road, Ballymena
There will be a continuous road closure from Larne Road Link to Cullybackey Road Roundabout from Sunday, September 20 until Monday, September 21.
The closure is required for resurfacing works.
A diversion will operate with an alternative route via U2204 Ballymoney Road, U2201 George Street, A0026 George Street, A0026 Linenhall Street, A0026 Larne Road.
Delays of up to 5 minutes are expected.
