Lisburn resident named Plumber of the Year at the Checkatrade Regional Awards
Checkatrade, the UK’s leading home improvement platform, has announced Conor Doran of CD Plumbing and Heating, based in Lisburn as winner of the Plumber of the Year award.
Conor was recognised at the Checkatrade Regional Awards for North England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, celebrating outstanding tradespeople from across the region.
The annual Checkatrade Awards shine a spotlight on tradespeople who go above and beyond for their customers. Winners are selected not only for their craftsmanship but also for their commitment to professionalism, reliability, and helping homeowners feel confident when choosing a trade.

Every tradesperson on Checkatrade has to meet a high bar before they can join, passing up to 12 checks and agreeing to uphold the Checkatrade Standard. A dedicated Trust team works to keep that standard high.
Checkatrade also monitors trades once they are on the platform, through ongoing in-life monitoring and customer feedback, so only those who keep delivering great work stay on it. The Checkatrade Awards celebrate the trades who clear that bar and keep going beyond it.
The Checkatrade Awards will culminate in a national final in central London on November 19, 2026 where category winners from all of the regional events across the UK will come together for the ultimate celebration of trade excellence.
