Wildlife at work under bonnet of car

Alex Murphy, who lives in Ballinderry, with the bird’s nest which he found under his bonnet.

The nest contains four small eggs and it was when preparing his car for a service that Alex made the discovery. He said: “I’ve no idea when it happened. I drive the car every day. When the bonnet’s closed you can see there’s just enough room for a small bird to squeeze in.

“Sadly, the eggs aren’t likely to hatch now without their mother. There must an angry bird about somewhere looking for its eggs.”
