Blues prepare for Euro draw

LINFIELD begin their pre-season training tonight with thoughts now turning to the qualifying rounds of the Champions League, the draw being made in Switzerland on Monday, June 25.

Linfield enter the draw of Europe’s premier club tournament at the first qualifying round stage as one of three seeded teams based on the UEFA club coefficients

The Irish League champions will face either Tre Penne (San Marino), Lusitanos (Andorra) or B36 Torshavn (Faroe Islands) with ties schedued for July 3 or 4 and July 10 and 11.

Linfield manager David Jeffrey, back from holiday, is looking forward to the draw. “Once again our big target is to try and get into the next round. All we can do is prepare the best way we can and make sure we are in good physical shape for the two legs,” said Jeffrey.
