Cross country race at Gransha this weekend

A five-race programme starts at 11.40am with the Primary Schools 1K race and is followed by the U13 1K at 11.50am, the U15 2K at 12noon and the U17 3K at 12.15pm.

The feature race is the Open 6K which caters for U20’s, Seniors and Masters and has a 12.35pm start time.

Entries will be taken on the day from 10.30am at the U3A Foyle Building in the Gransha Grounds and there is a £2/E3 charge for the four under age races and its £6/E7 for the Open race.

All finishers in the first four races will get a ribboned medal for their efforts while cash prizes are on offer for the leading finishers, including the usual age categories, in the Open race.

Online pre-entry is possible, up to 5pm on Friday, just send name, gender, age on race day and club if any to [email protected] and the race pack can be collected from 10.30am on race day.

The race is an integral part of both the ANI Cross Country League and the N.I. Masters’ Winter League with points at stake for both individuals and clubs.
