SEASON 2011-12

Raceview beat Ballynure Old Boys four to three on Saturday in the Round 3 of the Crawford Cup and will now meet Newtowne away in Round 4. Clough Rangers Athletic hosted Brantwood in Round 4 of the same competition and with Brantwood winning by four to three they will now meet Ballyclare Comrades Res in the semi-final.

FC BALLYNURE 1 RASHARKIN UNITED 1

On a very slick surface both teams were able to play lots of good passing football allowing for plenty of chances around both goals. The first goal in the game went to Rasharkin when Andy Calderwood scored on the 26th minute and at half-time this goal still separated the teams. Ballynure pushed forward in the second half getting back on level terms after Darren McKinty converted a penalty on the 73rd minute. After this both teams went for the winning goal but at full time it was appoint to each.

CLOUGH RGRS ATH 3 BRANTWOOD 4

After a good start to the game Steven Bainbridge put Brantwood in front on the 7th minute then on the 12th minute Fintan McCartney doubled the Brantwood advantage. Clough came back into the game with Steven Holmes scoring on the 21st minute and got back level after David Nicholl scored on the 33rd minute. Half-time was almost reached when Clough got a hammer blow having a man sent off making life difficult for them. Brantwood made the extra man pay and went in front after Aidan Hanna scored on the 68th minute and a second goal from Fintan McCartney put Brantwood two goals clear on the 71st minute. Clough never gave up the chase and pulled a goal back after Ricky Hanna scored on the 87th minute but with being a man short it cost them dear at the end. Referee Mr. Paul Doherty

JUNIOR DIVISIONS LEAGUE GAMES DIVISION ONE

KILLYMOON RANGERS RES 0 BALLYCLARE COM RES 3

Killymoon the league leaders were put to the sword by Ballyclare in this game as the visitors with games in hand have their eyes on winning the division. Ballyclare took the lead after Ronnie Burns scored and then extended their lead when Jonny McClurg scored. Killymoon had to chase the game and as often happens got caught with Ronnie Burns scoring his second goal in the game sealing the win for the visitors. Referee Mr. Mark O’Neil

GLEBE RANGERS RES 0 LARNE OLYMPIC 0

Both teams played lots of good open attacking football but unfortunately they were not able to convert the chances they created into goals resulting in a point to each of them at the final whistle. Referee Mr. Brian Leitch

BALLYMONEY UNITED RES 2 DESERTMARTIN SWIFTS 1

Ballymoney took an early lead after Conor Reid scored on the 5th minute of the game and then doubled their lead when Conor Reid scored his second goal on the 10th minute. Desertmartin came well into the game after getting on the score sheet when Aaron Service converted a penalty on the 35th minute reducing the deficit at half-time. The second half again saw lots of good football from both teams but sadly no more goals. Referee Mr. Martin Bellew

Lots of chances were created by both teams during the first-half but when half-time was reached only one goal had been scored by Ben Hanna when he put grange in front on the 15th minute. Grange doubled their lead on the 57th minute after Dave Mulholland scored but Finvoy came back to narrow the gap after Gary Trafford scored on the 65th minute. After this Finvoy went for the equaliser but Grange held out for the win. Referee Mr. Gusty Crawford
