Courts to try again

LINCOLN COURTS quarter-final tie away at Ford was postponed, the game is due to go ahead this Saturday.

There were only five of the scheduled eleven City Cup games played, Newtowne continued their winning streak defeating Draperstown Reserves, Donemana needed penalties before seeing off Foyle Wanderers.

Churchill United went down at home to Dungiven Reserves while Roe Rovers had few problems overcoming Glendermott, Eglinton had a good home victory against Newbuildings Reserves.

The remaining City Cup games are scheduled for this Saturday with limited fixtures in all three divisions. There is one outstanding Junior Cup tie with Greysteel entertaining City Colts.

Premier Division

Draperstown Reserves v Newtowne

These two met in the City cup last week where the Limavady men had a comfortable victory, another win here would take them a step nearer the title, they are determined to go through the rest of the season unbeaten.

The home side look booked for relegation they have struggled all season and they will find life a bit easier in the First division.

Prediction: Newtowne.

Drummond v Burndennett

Nothing much to play for in this one, both sides are comfortably in mid table but the visitors do have a number of games in hand on the teams above them, a draw looks the most likely result.

Prediction: Score Draw.

Junior Cup

Greysteel v City Colts

The home side will go into this one as strong favourites, they feel that they have a chance of going all the way and if the draw is kind they must have a chance.

The Colts are from a lower division and although they will give it their best shot anything other than a home win would be a shock.

Prediction: Greysteel.
