With several players back on duty, Manager Trevor Junkin had the luxury of fielding a strong team against neighbours Killymoon at Dromore Park last Saturday.

On a heavy pitch the Swifts controlled most of the game and went ahead in the 10th minute when a Mark Stewart shot was deflected past the the Killymoon keeper.

The Swifts kept the pressure on but had to settle for a one goal slender lead at the interval.

Shortly after the restart Liam Stewart increased the Swifts lead.

However, with 15 minutes left, Killymoon reduced the arrears but the grandstand finish didn’t materialise and with five minutes left Darren Bartlett netted to give Desertmartin a well deserved victory.

This Saturday Desertmartin Swifts are at home to Tobermore Reserves, 2pm Dromore Park.
