The Kilbride Swifts v Raceview was postponed by the League Committee in a mark of respect to David Craig the long serving member of the Raceview club. The deepest sympathy of everyone if extended to David and his family on the Death of his Mother Mabel during the week

INTERMEDIATE DIVISION

NEWTOWNE 3 BRANTWOOD 4

This was a top class game with the teams sharing seven goals between them. Brantwood were early on the attack and went in front after Ciaran Carson converted a penalty on the 22nd minute. Newtowne hit back equalising when Gary Moore scored on the 31st minute then put Newtowne in front with his second goal on the 34th minute. Andy Ferris should have extended the lead for Newtowne but he hit the crossbar when only three yards out and as half time approached Gary Moore missed another good chance for Newtowne. The second half saw Brantwood on attack then drawing level with a good goal scored by Steven Bainbridge on the 65th minute. Brantwood kept going forward after this taking the lead after Ciaran Carson scored his second goal on the 73rd minute and added to this when Steven Bainbridge score his second goal on the 75th minute. With the two goal cushion Brantwood played it tight but Newtowne came back to narrow the gap after Andy Ferris scored on the 85th minute then went for the equaliser but Brantwood were not to be broken again winning by the odd goal. Referee Mr. Raymond Bigger

RASHARKIN UNITED 2 BALLYNURE OLD BOYS 1

Rasharkin who lost quite a number of players during the month of January saw their new faces certainly up to the task in this game which was a very close contest. Rasharkin went in front after Andy Calderwood scored on the 18th minute then on the 20th minute the Ballynure Keeper Simon Hamilton scored from his own penalty area with the ball taking one bounce before ending up in the Rasharkin Net for the equaliser. Half-time saw the teams still level then on the 50th minute Joe Rouke making his Rasharkin debut scored to put his team in front. Rasharkin then had a great chance to extend their lead on the 61st minute but Keeper Hamilton made an excellent save from Lee Barr’s spot kick. After this Ballynure went on all-out attack but Rasharkin held firm to go on and collect the win. Referee Mr. Martin Taylor

Clough then went in front after David Nicholl scored his second goal on the 75th minute and kept this lead until the final whistle. Referee Mr. Tony Young

JUNIOR DIVISIONS LEAGUE GAMES

DIVISION TWO

WOODLANDS 2 FINVOY 2

After a steady start by both teams Jonny Parkes shot Woodlands into the lead which they held until Robert Patton equalised for Finvoy as half-time approached. The second half was more or less a repetition of the first with Woodlands going in front for a second time when Paul Addis scored only for Finvoy coming back to equalise through Calum McCooke.

ROUND 3

GLEBE RANGERS RES 3 BALLYMONEY UNITED RES 0

Glebe got off to a flying start to this Cup Tie with Gareth Henry scoring on the 7th minute and then followed this up by scoring his second goal on the 15th minute. Glebe continued to push forward after this and Ballymoney found it difficult to get back into the game before half-time. The second half saw Glebe still on the front foot and sealed the win after Gareth Henry completed his hat-trick on the 75th minute. Referee Mr. Harry Dunseith
