Wakehurst crush neighbours Corner

WAKEHURST returned to winning form on Saturday with a comprehensive 5-0 win away to local rivals Chimney Corner.

From the off, it was all Wakehurst and Conor Gregg opened the scoring on 13 minutes after good work by Stephen Mellon. On 20 minutes, Jason Paul made it two for Wakehurst with the Corner defence struggling and this was again evidenced two minutes later when Jason Paul made it 3-0 to Wakehurst with Lee McCaughern doing provider.

Unfortunately for Wakehurst, the in-form Jason Paul had to retire on 33 minutes with an ankle injury and he was replaced by Ryan Young.
