RUGBY: Grammar lads get kitted out

Larne Grammar School’s medallion squad has recently receieved new playing kit due to generous support from a number of local businesses.

The new shirts were unveiled just before Christmas in an 8-5 victory against Dalriada School at the Lower Cairncastle Road venue.

Mr. Jonathan Wylie, Larne Grammar principal, welcomed the support and commented: “I am delighted that local businesses are prepared to back their local school and I wish both them and the squad all the very best.”

The squad is fortunate to have the services of former school back row David Swann and Davy Wilson as coaches, who both assist alongside teacher Mr. Jonathan Rea. The team is captained by Aaron Wilson and has emerging talents Alastair Burke and Jonathan Glasgow in key positions. The team is grateful to Millbrook Wood Products, The Freight Partnership and R. Wilson Landscapes for providing their support.
