SNOOKER: Q-Club pocket win over Ballyclare Old Boys
The Larne and District Snooker League: Q-Club ‘A’ continued their winning start with their second 3-2 win, this time seeing off Ballyclare Old Boys. Neil McKelvey, Neil McFaul and William Irvine (23) all won with Darren Vennard and Declan McLean replying for the host team. The Point have also recorded two 4-1 wins and have got off to a very good start, beating Q-Club ‘B’ this week. Graham Ferguson, Jim Boyle, Steven Girvin and Eddie Carson all recorded victories with young Aaron Rolston getting his snooker career off to a flyer with a frame for the hosts.
St John’s pocketed a fine result beating St Comgall’s 4-1 at Mill Brae. Alex Robertson, A McKee, Damian Todd and Sammy Guiller all took advantage of their handicaps and secured wins. Anthony McCorry provided the response for the Saints.
