McAfee Auctions have a ‘Spicy Sale’

If variation is the spice of life then McAfee Auctions have a ‘Spicy Sale’ this week in their Ballymoney Sale rooms, with everything from a Superb Joseph Gordon Long Case Clock, right through the furniture range, lots and lots of Collectibles, Jewellery, Paintings, and even Five Pony Traps, Cart Wheels and a Turnip Pulper.

The 1100 lot sale over two evenings takes place on the 8th and 9th of September in the Ballymoney auction rooms, and includes the contents of several properties and offer a choice of Drawing Room, Dining Room and Bedroom furniture.

One of the particularly fine lots on offer is a Superb Long Case Clock in Mahogany Case, with Brass Dial by Joseph Gordon of Ballymoney. ‘It’s a particular fine clock, from an old estate’ comments Gerry McAfee ‘and without doubt the finest Gordon Clock ever sold in our rooms, a good colour and a fantastic good head, all add to its characteristics’.

A Good Double Weight Vienna, Inlaid Wag at the Wall and a selection of Mantle Clocks are also included.

A nice Small Double Pedestal Desk, Carved Writing Bureau, Turn Over Leaf Tea Table, Dining Tables and Chair Sets, Inlaid and Other Display Cabinets including a Good Double Door Corner Cupboard, other Corner Cupboards, Whatnots, Corner Washstand, Occasional Tables and Chairs, Linen Press and Other Bedroom Furniture, Hall Stands, Three Piece Suites and Couches etc etc, fill out the furniture range.

Collectibles include a really good collection of Old Copper Jelly Moulds, Royal Worcester and Royal Doulton.

A Large selection of approximately 100 lots of Jewelery concludes the first evening’s sale, and among the many Rings, Necklaces, Bracelets and Brooches, are two really special Rings, an 18ct Gold Seven Diamond Ring Diamonds approximately 1.25ct and a18ct Gold Cluster Ring Diamonds approximately 1.6ct. Both of these rings are among a really good collection and selection of 9ct and 18ct Rings, with a range of styles to suit everyone.
