Bus operator and driver fined
A bus operator and driver have been convicted for tachograph and drivers hours offences
Mr James McGlone, T/A J&M Coach Hire, Church View, Randalstown, was fined a total of £300 and his co-accused driver Mr Desmond McMullan, Ballydunmaul Road, Randalstown, was fined £100 at Dungannon Magistrates’ court on Monday.
On June 10 2015 DVA Enforcement Officers observed a 24 seat bus parked in a shopping centre car park in Cookstown.

Hide AdAn inspection of Mr McMullan’s tachograph records revealed that he had failed to take a required daily rest period of at least nine hours on May 31 2015.
Further to this, Mr McGlone was also interviewed on related offences for employing and failing to organise the driver’s work to ensure compliance with the relevant EU Drivers’ Hours Rules.
