Climb to Cloughmore Stone

Pupils from New Bridge Integrated College, Year 13 Duke of Edinburgh team completed their first practice walk on Saturday, February 18.

The students set off from Rostrevor at sea level and climbed up to the Cloughmore Stone. #

From there they navigated across to Slieve Martin (485Metres) and made their way back down ‘the zig zags’ to the bottom car park via a few tricky diversions.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is available to all 14-24 year olds and is the world’s leading youth achievement award.

It equips young people for life is a personal challenge and pushes young people to their personal limits and recognises their achievements.
