Ballymena man left bag of 'cut-up clothing' on doorstep of ex-partner's address

A man who left a bag of cut-up clothing outside his former partner's address, has been sentenced for harassment.

The 47-year-old committed harassment between July 19 and August 11 this year.

Ballymena Magistrates Court was told that after the couple broke up in June this year the woman received an "unwanted letter and a potted rose" which was left at her front door on July 20. She received a number of emails and calls.

On August 11 she heard a "loud knock" at the door. She didn't answer but then discovered a "bag of clothes had been left and those appeared to have been cut-up," a prosecutor said.
