Yvonne McWhirter, Head of Mental Health Specialist Services in the Western Trust and representing the CAWT Eating Disorders Project said: "An eating disorder is a serious mental health condition that can affect a person of any age, male or female. It is important that people know where to go for help and that full recovery is possible so this public meeting is ideal for anybody seeking more information on eating disorders. We are keen to encourage discussion and if the demand exists, to assist with the establishment of locally-based eating disorder carers support groups in the border region."
